As people who believe in gentle parenting, and as participants in a powerful economy, we are called to work for greater economic and social justice in the face of persistent poverty, growing income gaps, and ever-increasing environmental damage to the earth. Peacemama is for those who care about people worldwide, and who want their actions to reflect that concern. On peacemama, we seek to educate ourselves to the realities of life for people suffering the effects of economic systems that pursue profit with little or no regard for human and environmental consequences. We seek to learn what we can do so that our choices and actions might benefit the whole human family. As in attachment parenting, we are guided by principles of compassion for the vulnerable, endeavoring to overcome our ignorance, mindfulness of how our actions affect others, and a belief that a means to an end must be compassionate and just. To post a message to all the list members, send email to peacemama@kjsl.com. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to peacemama
Subscribe to peacemama by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.
