See !!! This is why I only collect lenses that from known makers that are
properly engraved . . . except for the ones that aren't or aren't . . . or
the ones whose elements aren't actually what the name implies . . . or . . .
never mind. It never ends.

So, who's getting a Naylor auction catalog?

I don't own a GOC but have seen a couple of them. The Anthony Eureka / GOC
version being mentioned is not the same as Dan's mystery camera. These have
more sophisticated Anthony style hardware: GG frame hinges and brass corners
with the "fingers" that hold the ground glass.

The mystery camera does have the Horsman x Scovill look, but with the same
single piece of wood on the front as the Eureka.

It's been a long while . . . but I think it's the other way round. If I'm
remembering this correctly (I laugh now, ha! - not likely), EA acquired
Greenpoint or Green Point in the 1880s ??? After that, Greenpoint made most
of the Anthony bodies, no?

Who's got a Marder - Anthony book ?

I had two GOCo cameras at one time, but before my digi-archives . . . don't
you own at least of them? Rob maybe the other one?

Greenpoint Optical Company ??? Maybe GOC on the rails or underside?

Not that I can see anywhere.....anyway, I thought Anthony made all of the
GOC cameras ?

Thanks
