I'm betting this Subject line should attract at least some attention, and
I'm hoping to hear from some of our interested distaff members. Could be a
fun topic no matter where it goes. But enough about me . . .
More from the downstairs closet . . . I have a large box of leather scraps
for whatever my reasons.
Most of them are not really appropriate as authentic camera coverings - not
the hard finished type. However, there is a fair amount of very soft, very
thin, sueded or kid material that can be used for the "bellows" found on
many swing-lens panoramic cameras such as the Kodak Panoram or the Al-Vista.
I used to do bellows replacements for the old panoramic cameras and this is
my remaining stock - plus a bunch that didn't work. If you have a panoramic
with wrecked bellows, you can try your hand at it - I can give rough
instructions. If you have other uses in mind, feel free to ask - I have an
active imagination and can probably offer suggestions there as well. Steve?
Or, since I am presently in my manic phase, I might consider doing one or
two replacements for a modest fee. If the bellows is in bad shape now, then
I'll lay odds that whatever I do can't be any worse than what's there now.
Wait, is that true? OK, probably not really really worse. And if you want
to use your #1 - what choice do you have?
I'd be happy to upload a pic of the pile, but there is absolutely nothing
that you tell from looking at a pic or reading a description . . . why do
you think I have so much of this cra . . . stuff?
Any interest? Let's try to keep the really kinky stuff off-line . . . or
what the heck, what are you wearing?
