Steve,

I can't wait to hear what you'll have to say when the hardware discussion
moves on to "knurled nuts."

"Bokeh" - hmmm. How times have changed. You know, it used to be that folks
expended endless energy worrying about sharpness, and resolution test
charts, and modulation transfer functions, and now we're worried about how
appealing the out of focus areas are.

I wonder if so many folks find Peggy Cameron's work so appealing because it
was loaded with "good bokeh" even though she couldn't tell the front of a
lens from the back, and didn't seem to care much. For that matter, didn't
seem to worry about focusing all that much either.

Good bokeh, indeed.

PS: She hated to be called Jules or Maggie

Ah Milan, The poet emerges from deep within your cortex you again!

Cheers--and a Very Happy New Year to you.
           Steve

BTW, I tried out the Hermangis 'Petzval' you helped identify on an old
Eastman 2-D. Beautiful quality, with just the right 'Bokeh' for its
designed purpose. Thanks again for your help. S.
