I dunno if your new president is a biplane lover, but it seems you have a new type of man holding the joystick! I deeply hope that he will be the guy to help the country through these difficult times. Anyway, back to the bipes! I am planning my engine search, as the building of the baby lakes goes on. I hesitate beetween one of these recent powerplants like the jabiru, or enropean new engines, and a good old C90 , or O-200 as suggested in original baby lakes infos. Do you have feelings and knowledge about using C90 on a aerobatic lightplane? how is the cost and simplicity of maintenance ? Any infos or ideas appreciated; best regards. Herv?. It's on ebay as listing 120341626681 and will open later tonight at 7 pm PST. We may be moving again so that factors in as well. I'd prefer to do a cash/local transaction but I you might be able to talk me into shipping it if you ask really nicely. Is it necessary to coverall the wing, or is the fabric starting afer the leading edge going to the back of th wing. The same question comes to mind for the fuselage. The front panels are aluminium. the back is fabric. Where to start the fabric? difficult to imagine the process. Thanks for tips. Herv? Yes cover the entire wing with the fabric. No do not cover the metal on the fuselage. the fabric is covered usually from the turtle deck back. --- On Sun, 11/30/08, biplane-hangar@lists.aviating.com wrote: From: biplane-hangar@lists.aviating.com Subject: [Biplane-Hangar] covering wings To: "Biplane builder's discussion list" Date: Sunday, November 30, 2008, 1:48 PM hello everybody a little question for the people who allready finished a pllane: when covering the wings, on a plane with metalic leading edges. Same thing at the trailing edge - wrap it around, gluing it down to the aluminum with fabric cement. I normally prime the aluminum with epoxy primer to give good adhesion to the fabric.
