B: Identifying T-34 Wings on Models 35 and 33

Steve,
Some of the differences include heavier skin thicknesses. The leading edges
are .040 thick instead of .032. Because of this, T-34 leading edges fair
better in hail than Bonanzas. Both leading edges also have wing walk all
the way to the leading edge nose spar and a fresh air inlet screen at the
leading edge root. There is also a large diagonal rib just outboard of the
25 gal fuel cell bay.
The box section skins are also a little heavier in places. Most of the
skins are .025 or .032 instead of .020 and .025. Wing walk corrugation is
on both sides. The flap actuator bay areas around the rear attach fitting
are also completely closed out with a span-wise rib. The rear spar is
nearly identical. I have used new Bonanza spar caps and spar cap support
angles to repair 34 wings. Almost all of the box section and leading edge
ribs are identical in station number placement and thickness. I haven't
found one yet that isn't a 35 prefix part number. Access panel holes are
completely different. T-34 has Airloc stud fasteners into a back-plate with
receptacles. Bonanzas use sheet metal or machine screws into standard
nutplates. T-34's also have one more inspection panel just outboard of the
outer gear door.
